Description

Delimited by the Îlots de l'Estagnol in the south-east, Anse de l'Estagnol is part of the Bay of Bregançon.

To limit the advancement of the wilderness, a phenomenon that affects many locations in the Côte d'Azur, the department of Var has set up an organized mooring area that offers fifteen boat berths and which interests a good portion of the central part of the bay.

This creek is one of the most sheltered in the great Bay of Bregançon, especially in the case of winds coming from the north, west and northeast.

However, the small bay is open to the south, and where winds from this source, can arise a somehow unpleasant wave pattern.

Entering the creek and looking to the right you can see the famous Fort de Brégançon.

The beach (Plage) de l'Estagnol extends for almost the entire length of the bay; it is over 470 meters long and offers its visitors a very pleasant setting, made of clear, fine sand and crystalline sea. In addition, the beautiful pine forests surrounding the beach offer a pleasant shade for the hottest days.

The beach is flat and easily accessible by land also, from families with small children because there is a car park for cars, bikes and bicycles nearby. Access, however, is made through a private estate and the parking -from March to September and up to 19 – hour, is on payment for all.

For sportsmen, an additional opportunity to reach these beaches is to rent a kayak at the rental center in La Londe and "paddle" up to here.

In the central part of the bay, you can also find a restaurant and on the beach, you can take advantage of toilets and showers. From the beach, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Pointe de Léoube, the promontory of Giens and the island of Porquerolles.

The Anse de l'Estagnol is the ideal destination for those looking for wild charm and tranquility in the heart of the Cote d'Azur.
