Riva Trigoso 

Located opposite the town famous for being the seat of many shipyards, such as Fincantieri, one among the most ancient and prestigious Italian yards, the anchorage of Riva Trigoso raises in  the hamlet of Sestri Levante, in the province of Genoa.

Boats can moor in the anchorage, from the coast to Manara. About 200 metres off the beach, just opposite Fincatieri's seat, there's a yellow buoy indicating an underwater suction pipe. Around this buoy, mooring, diving and bathing are not allowed.

The Gulf of Riva Trigoso is marked by two promontories: point Baffe to East and point Manara westward. The town was originally a fishing village but, thanks to its beautiful coast and sea, it has become a very popular tourist destination, especially in summer.

The beach near the anchorage is free. About 1 km long, it is equipped with beach resorts, toilets, drinkable water and it even offers to yachtsmen the possibility to enjoy garaging and repairs. The town itself offers many facilities and shops.

The sea of Riva Trogoso is appreciated by scuba divers, fishermen and the lovers of snorkeling because of the incomparable beauty of the seabottom. Please be careful to the high presence of boats and scuba divers in the area.

From the anchorage of Riva Trigoso, you can easily reach many other picturesque places, such as Chiavari, Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, Deiva Marina, Levanto and Cinque Terre. In summer, this stretch of coast is reached by yachtsmen and ferries carrying tourists even to Corsica and Sardinia. The Ligurian Sea is one among the quiestest and cleanest seas of the Italian peninsula and the anchorage itself is well-sheltered against all winds.
