Description

Cala Pira is a beautiful cove situated in what is generally considered to be one among the most beautiful stretches of Sardinian coast. Very popular among boaters who love sailing in the area, the beach is part of the territory of Costa Rei, in the municipality of Villasimius.

Sea bottoms are sandy and their white colour confers the water surface an almost unreal wonderful appearance. In some points of the seabed, sand even features a particular pink colour that reverberates the light reflection of the water.

The wonderful bay offers great tourist and bathing opportunities. Although it is a popular destination among yachtsmen, the bay doesn't offer boats the possibility to penetrate it because of the presence of some floating lines that protect the bathing area.

The beach offers a few services, such as a small car park, a camping site and a coffee bar equipped with entrance for disabled people.

The cove is highly loved by the families who love travelling by boat also thanks very low sea bottoms which are extremely safe for kids. The cove can host a maximum of 40 boats simultaneously. Althouth very popular, the area is not extremely crowded in summer.

Thanks to mistral wind that often reaches the bay, the latter offers excellent conditions and a good shelter for anyone looking for some relax.

Cala Pira is a Sardinian cove that abandons the concept of uncontrolled tourist life. It is perfect for all boaters looking for a peaceful place where to enjoy an unforgettable sea and have fun with family.
