Big Boat

Boat Description

Benetti Mediterraneo 116, showed at Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2016, is the new model inside Class Displacement category for the season 2016/2017.

The 35-meter yacht, made of GPR and carbon fiber, has been entirely built in Viareggio Shipyard by Giorgio Maria Cassetta and Pierluigi Ausonio exterior designers in collaboration with Achille Salvagni who realizes the interior; they blend the shipyard skills with modern technologies and a new design in order to obtain a sleek structure. Brightness is certainly one of the yacht distinctive feature achieved by over 3-metre windows and a big glass door leading from the cockpit to the saloon.

The 80-square meter sun deck reaches a length of 16 meters and features many stowage compartments for guests.

The forward upper deck is extremely spacious and offers a 360-degree view; it can house the swimming pool or it can be customized in according to owner’s demands. Whereas, in the stern there is a rectangular lounge and a pantry provided with a goods lift.

The main deck, in keeping with the shipyard style and elegance, uses spaces in an innovative way by ensuring a great sea view from both the exterior and the saloon. The cockpit features a very large saloon furnished with three sofas and provided with wide uninterrupted windows. The dining area is supplied with a table up to 12 people, while the external walkway can be also used as a balcony. The 3,4 meter full-beam ship owner’s cabin is located in the bow and enjoys great brightness and spaciousness emphasized by its long unobstructed windows. It has also a large study and his-and-hers bathrooms.

Likewise, in the lower deck, port-holes give the impression of uninterrupted windows. Two Vip cabins are located in the stern and two ones are provided with bunk beds; all have a private bathroom. Seven crew members have three double cabins at their disposal in addition to the captain’s one located in the upper deck next to the forward steering gear. Moreover, on-board privacy is ensured by passageways reserved for the crew in order to not disturb guests.

The interior is originally inspired by cruising ships designed by Giò Ponti, Paolo Buffa and Guglielmo Urlich during 1940s and 1950s. So, exclusive effects have been obtained by the contrast between light and dark woods with refined finishing; equally, feminine profiles places contrast with masculine chromatic shades without overcoming them. Brass and leather are also recovered from seafaring tradition.

Comfort during navigation is ensured by CMC Marine system and electric stabilizers, while two  1.400 HP Man V12-1400 engines enable to reach a full speed of 15 knots and a cruising one of 14 knots with an autonomy of 3.000 miles at 10 knots.
