This time, he has created something astonighing. Dennis Ingemansson is an original Swedish designer specialised in superyachts. Now, he is collaborating with the Turkish yard NedShip for the construction of a very particular solar catamaran.

Solar panels on multi-hull boats aren’t something news but, this time, we are talking about a superyacht. Follow the Sun is, in fact, a 50×16-metre-catamaran, provided with any comfort and a 160-square-meter solar cell area ( which can become even bigger in the version with a solar sunroof above the sun deck and a round jacuzzi).

External lines are inspired by car design (probably because Dennis Ingemansson also attended a Automative Design Master at Domus Academy, Milan). The fore half-round swimming pool is certainly impressive.

The designed carbon hull provides for two different engine solutions: 2 Mtu 16V 2000 M70 engines or a more eco-friendly hybrid solution. In the first case, the expected maximum speed is about 22 knots, while autonomy is about 8500 miles if you sail at 12 knots.

There’s enough space for every kind of water toys (even a submarine!) and a helycopter platform.

Moreover, this catamaran has been conceived for luxury charter services. This is why, it includes two shipowner’s cabins and two double guest ones (up to 8 guests), in addition to the cabins for the seven crew members.
