We have already talked about Harmony of the Seas, the biggest cruise ship in the world, built for Royal Caribbean in Saint-Nazaire, France. The ship made big news even before sailing off, as inevitable with its impressive numbers: 362 metres long, 47 metres wide, with a lord tonnage of over 220,000 tons, it costed about 1 billion Euros and it is able to host 5,500 people and over 2,000 crew members on its 18 decks.

The latest news is that Harmony of the Seas has been finally launched, delivered to the shipping company and it has already have its first travel: from Northern France to Southampton, in England.

At early June, it will leave from Barcelona for its first public cruise and to start its summer season, with 34 cruises in Western Mediterranean. In November, it will move to Fort Lauderdale, in Florida, for its winter cruises in the Caribbean.

A Caribbean cruise of seven days and seven nights in a deluxe suite on Harmony of the Seas costs about 5,500 American dollars, while a three-day-cruise in a standard cabin costs 1,000 dollars. Prices should include attractions – swimming pools, casino, restaurant, diving and surfing centre, a park, several theatres – and the amazing astern water amusement park, called “Ultimate Abyss”, which includes the huge water slides passing through 10 of the 18 decks of the ship for a totale height of 45 metres.
