The style is that one of the typical French pêche promenade, so it is ideal for fishing or short trips. Marlin 695 is a versatile boat. It can have two hold doors, like in the model we tested, or only one (like in the picture above). We particularly love the first solution: space is a little reduced inside but the boat is more comfortable. We think it is essential to have two different entrances on a boat of this size in order to have enough space to move.
Below the deck, there is a small double cabin with a 210x 140 cm berth (but only 96 cm high) and a toilet (optional). Jeanneau proposes also a no-Marlin model. In this case, the bow triangle is traditional, with a small deck (with a sunbathing zone and a gangway) but larger cabin and bathroom.
The boat has also many smart space- saving solutions: the sliding bench in the cockpit , the dinette table which disappears, the fore cockpit equipped with three sofas and far from the poop one, particularly conceived for fishing. Behind the co-pilot’s seat there is a very compact kitchen.
With a Yamaha 150 HP engine, the boat has a good performance, with few vibrations and little noise. The boat is well-assembled and compact and it astonishes for its good precision and little listing.
At 5000 revolutions it find its ideal condition, with a 27-knot speed and a consumption of 40 litres/hour. You can even reach 32 knots, but at this point a little vibration can appear. As an alternative, you can use a 175 HP engine but we don’t consider it a necessary choice.
