Description

A safe port between Corsica and Sardinia

In the Bouches de Bonifacio Natural Park, one among the most beautiful marine landscapes in the world, there is the harbour of Cavallo, named after the namesake island located halfway between Corsica and Sardinia. It is composed by a long dock which encloses three wet docks and some piers, which can receive 230 boats up tp 35 m.

The harbour provides yachtsmen with mooring assistance service and weather forecast to know sea and wind conditions.

How to enter the harbour

Entrance is allowed from 8:30 until 30 minutes before sunset. Yachtsmen have to call the Harbour Authority on channel 09 for instructions. It's better to enter from the southern side, by following the channel marked by 4 red-and-green buoys, since the rocks located west and south of the island can be dangerous.

The harbour also offers:

  • hotels
  • restaurant
  • spa
  • café
  • golf centre
  • water and electricity columns
  • illuminated quays
  • Wi-Fi
  • waste collection
