Description

Located south-west of the namesake town, the marina of Arenzano offers 220 berths for yachts and sailing boats up to 20 m. Open at any time, the structure offers a 24h/24 assitance, a slipway, a fixed crane and a mobile one with a maximum range of 2 and 25 tons respectively.

The entrance of the marina is orieted to North and it is particularly exposed to northerly and south-eastern winds. While enterering the marina, boats have to set course to the green light located near the inner breakwater, paying attention to a shallows signaled by a buoy and the eventual undetow caused by south-east wind.

Located along the western coast of Ligurian Riviera, in a bay closed by Capo San Martino, Arenzano is a Medieval town, today popular for its beaches, forest wood and sports centres. Between Arenzano and Punta Invrea, a marine reserve hosts a large expance of ocean poseidonia, a water plant which produces the so-called "sea olives". In 2008, the first Italian underwater gym was inaugurated there.

Just behind the town, raises the Ligurian Apennine, covered by the typical Mediterranean forest and rocks.

Furthermore, Arenzano hosts the seat of Park Authority "Beigua" which includes many municipalities in the provinces of Genoa and Savona.

The equipped beach of Arenzano is characterized by a sandy sea bottom and the presence of many coves.

The area is famous for its honey production and many farms join the Regional Competition of the Ligurian Honeys every year.
