Description

Porto Canottieri Garda Salò is a harbour located on the shores of Lake Garda, in its central part.

It belongs to "Canottieri Garda Salò" society.

It offers 170 mooring places for all private and racing boats and three different piers.

Each place is provided with water and electric charging columns.

The harbour offers toilets, showers, locker rooms, free Wi-Fi connection and night surveillance service; the access to both services and piers is reserved for the society's partners and customers through the use of a badge.

The yard of the harbour has a crane with a maximum range of 8 tons, a travelift and a skilled staff for hauling and mast stepping operations.

The owners of racing boats can benefit from a boat storage shelter which can host up to 20 units, while an open parking can receive up to 171 cars.

The harbour hosts many competitions and regattas every year and it organises sailing courses and summer camps.

A restaurant within it is open every day.

Porto Canottieri Garda Salò is located near the city centre, where you can find lots of supermarkets, hotels, coffee bars, shops and museums.

Salò is a municipality in the province of Brescia.

The city has Roman origins but it was probably founded on the remains of a Neolithic village.

Dominated by St. Bart's Hill, Salò is part of the Alto Garda Bresciano Park, a natural park which extends over the lake area until the border with Trentino region, rich of roe deer, chamoises, deer, steinbocks and golden eagles.

The park also represents a great opportunity for trekking lovers, who can visit the typical thatched roof barns in Cima Rest (in the municipality of Magasa) or the military road dating back to the First World War.

But Salò offers several beaches, too.

That one next to Società Canottieri is free, not equipped, made up of small stones.

Rimbalzello Beach is located in Barbarano di Salò and it belongs to the namesake sports centre. It's a pay beach, with a grass area where you can stay under an umbrella beach. Customers can enjoy a parking lot, showers, toilets, a park, a swimming pool, a coffee bar, a beachvolley court, a diving centre and kids'animation.

It's a very popular beach, very crowded in summer and at night.

In Barbarano di Salò there's also Rive Grandi, an equipped beach where you can rent beach equipments, paddle and motor boats.

About 1.5 km far from the harbour, there's the area around Via Tavine, where you can find other beach resorts and free beaches (some of which welcome dogs)
