Description

Probably founded by Julius Caesar in 46 B.C. and then used by the Kingdom of Sardinia, the commercial port of Porto Torres if the oldest port of the city.

The western part of the port is also known as "cableway" since it was once used to carry iron ore precisely through that instrument.

The current port consists of two floating piers: one is 120 metres long while the other is 72 metres. Situated near the city centre, the port represents an excellent starting point to visit the city and its surroundings
