Description

Also known as the "Port of Lipari", the Port of Pignataro is situated north of the famous castle on Lipari Island, one among the most beautiful Aeolian islands.

Well-sheltered from south and south-west winds, the port is a charming well-equipped facility consisting of a main dock, a lighthouse, an inner breakwater and a long quay. The latter, provided with mooring buoys and rings, can host over 250 boats of different size. A specific dry dock is reserved for tourist ferries while an additonal area has been recently arranged to host other 40 boats. This possibility to create and separate different areas according to their different purposes is given by the fact that the port stretches over an overall surface of 34,000 square metres.

Consequently, the port facility offers a wide range of yachting services: a slipway, a crane with a range of 70 tons, pay phones, waste collection, water and electric charging columns, scuba divers, mooring assistance and technical repairs.

All around the port, visitors can easily find hospitals, hotels, post offices, drugstores, garages, bars, grocery shops and bathing establishments.

The Port of Pignataro - Lipari actually represents a reference point for whose who sail in the wonderful Aeolian Islands. Lipari offers a functional structure for any type of boat as well as tourist boats, ferries and many other services.
