Description

The Club de Mar is located in the Palma de Mallorca bay, about 4 km from the port of Palma and in its historic center, in the southwestern part of the island. It is a private marina, founded in the early 1970s. It offers a large variety of services to its customers, not only related to the yachting and sailing, but also commercial.

The berths in the port area are 625. Most mooring berths are for boats with a length of between 4 and 12 meters, but there are some areas for mega yachts not longer than 120 meters. The maximum draft for boats landing in this port ranging from 3 to 9 meters.

The marina offers support assistance for boat maneuvers both approaching and mooring, as well as a meteorological service at port headquarters and other information service. In the harbor, there are workshops that can carry out repairs of various kinds on boats (electric, mechanical, and structural) as well as a hull cleaning service. The crane service allows you to pull the boats dry for repairs and custody, while an internal shuttle service allows reaching the various sites of the  port areas.

The Club de Mar also offers a security service, a laundry and a fire-fighting service. In the area, the guests can enjoy of the bathrooms and the showers (designed to be accessible even to the disabled persons). Further inside the port there are also a refueling station and a medical office.

Beyond the area dedicated to yachting and recreation, the Club de Mar has some tourist accommodations. In the area, there is a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a lounge bar, a nightclub, a supermarket and a conference room. There is also a country club reserved for marina members.

In the port area, there are also agencies for rental of boats, cars and campers.

In the immediate vicinity of the hamlet, you can find other hotels, bars, restaurants and shops.

The club organizes sailing and kayaking courses for children and adults and hosts various races and contests throughout the year. The Club de Mar is located in the departmental area of Palma de Mallorca, one of the most popular areas of the island.

One of the beaches near this landing is the beach of S'Arenal, the longest on the island, famous for its crystal clear waters and clear fine sand. The beach is of communal management; it is easily accessible from the mainland (also for the disabled) and offers kiosks and the possibility of renting beach equipment (umbrellas, sun loungers).

Exiting the port and crossing Port Pi while sailing toward south, you can encounter some striking coves and beaches on the west coast of Majorca. The beach of Caló de Grells has a large sand and is quite calm (due also to the rocky slope to access it).

It has an anchorage area fairly well (though in the presence of strong winds it is not advisable to give ground) but the winds can cause annoying waves for bathing.

Palma de Mallorca offers many day and night attractions - and it is definitely worth a visit to the Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art. Not far from Palma de Mallorca (and easily reachable by the Club de Mar) Magaluf is also a renowned center for nightlife and caters mostly to a younger audience.

The Palma de Mallorca area and its surroundings enjoy a good public transport network on the road, useful for getting around even in the evening.
